International Security Intern

The International Security Department at Chatham House is looking for a motivated, well organised and reliable self-starter with a demonstrable knowledge of and interest in international security to support its current projects and activities.

Applicants should have a graduate or post-graduate qualification in a related discipline, proven interest in the Department’s research areas, experience in an administrative role, and excellent communication, inter-personal, organisation, writing and IT skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into one of the world's leading foreign affairs think tanks and be part of a growing research area. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team and will be able to gain valuable experience across all areas of the Department’s work.
The placement will be for a period of three months, starting in April 2018.

Please note that the internship is an unpaid position. The internship is for three months. Although flexible, we are ideally looking for someone who is able to commit on a part-time basis, equivalent three days per week. Please state your availability in your cover letter. Travel expenses to and from work within London (zones 1-6) will be reimbursed for the days worked. Lunch will be provided in the staff canteen.
